Lohan should serve the rest of her life in prison...

Actress Lindsay Lohan, sentenced Wednesday to 90 days in jail, should instead spend the rest of her no-talent life in jail. She was okay in the "Parent Trap" re-makes, but it went quickly downhill for her thereafter. At her court hearing Wednesday, she painted "f*** u" on one of her fingernails. Is that REALLY courtroom behavior? Not in my courtroom, it wouldn't be! She has had numerous opportunities to get her life straight - she just doesn't "get it." I think that spending some real hard time behind bars might just wake her up to the fact that SHE IS AN ADULT who has to take responsibility for her own actions.

Really neat bridge!

There is a bridge between Hong Kong and mainland China that is truly an engineering marvel. It is called the Flipper Bridge. The design came about because Hong Kong drivers drive on the left (former British colony) and in mainland China, they drive on the right. All I have to say is...WOW!

Report: Nebraska Cornhuskers to join Big Ten

There are reports out that the University of Nebraska will leave the Big 12 and join the Big Ten Conference. If true, this will make 12 teams in the Big Ten. Is it just me, or should the Big Ten just change their name to the Big 12?

Obama mostly just talk?

Is it just me? Is President Barack Obama spewing out a lot of hot air? I sense another president being elected in 2012...

Dennis Hopper succumbs to cancer at 74

Actor Dennis Hopper, notable for such films as "Easy Rider" and "Speed," has died. He was 74.

Hopper succumbed to prostate cancer Saturday at his suburban Los Angeles home.

While most folks remember Hopper for "Easy Rider," I'll always remember him for his memorable scene with Christopher Walken in "True Romance." I also liked him with Kiefer Sutherland in "Flashback." He will definitely be missed.

97.3 The Brew is no more...

WQBW-FM (97.3) changed formats Friday morning. Out with the good music, in with (yawn) another teeny-bopper format. I have already taken 97.3 out of preset in the car and doubled up on 96.5 for now.

This is the second station in as many days (106.9 flipped Thursday) to change formats. A moment of silence for common sense in the radio industry is appreciated.

NFL changes name for one player...

The National Football League might as well change their name to the National Favre League. The NFL Owners Tuesday voted 28-4 to change the overtime rules for playoff games.

Although the NFL won't admit it, this change is based on the fact that QB Brett Favre didn't touch the ball in the Vikings overtime loss to the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship Game.

This is utter bulls**t!!!!!
